Snowfall: it is recommended to work from home and avoid going out unless strictly necessary
Given the snowfall announced for Tuesday, January 22nd, the mobility organization Touring recommends tele-working and postponing or canceling non-urgent trips. The snowfall is likely to disrupt rush-hour traffic.
The Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI) forecasts two to five centimeters of snow Tuesday throughout the territory. The low temperatures will reach the west of the country in the morning, and it will then move east to leave the territory at the end of the day. That’s why Touring recommends working from home and avoiding non-urgent trips.
According to a recent survey, 57% of vehicles are well equipped for the snow. The cold wave will approach the country around 06:00 via the coast and West Flanders. Two hours later, the snow will fall in Brussels, Hainaut and Walloon Brabant, before covering Liège, Namur and the province of Luxembourg.
