Brexiteer Nigel Farage: ‘Belgium is not a Nation.’
Brexit Leave campaigner and British MEP Nigel Farage slammed the EU and Belgium today at a European Parliment meeting in which Belgian prime minister Charles Michel was also present.

In his speech, Farage talked about Brexit (which he played a big part in) and said that the EU is ignoring this issue. He went on to say that the EU had created Brexit, as their only solution offered to the nation states individual problems was more integration. Postulating the failure of this system, Farage pointed to Belgium – the home of many EU institutions – as example of this.
« There are two parts of Belgium, they speak different languages, they dislike each other intensely, there’s no national TV station, there’s no national newspaper, Belgium is not a nation. »
He went on to say that Brexit is the “first brick out of the wall.” and other countries would follow.
