SNCB: multiple strikes in the upcoming months

Belgian rail workers have announced plans for 10 days of strike action in the crossover between May and June.

On the SNCB rail network, the union representing the workers is planing to strike on the 28 and 29 May, 4, 5 and 6 June; 13, 14 and 15 June and 18 and 19 June.

This demonstration is against a “desire for increased productivity” which including new performance targets. The union say these additional rules could hurt rail safety, as tired workers are likely to be less alert.
