Ryanair cabin and ground crew strikes this month

Ryanair cabin crew from Spain, Italy, Portugal and Belgium will go on strike this month over an escalation of the airline’s labour dispute. The actions are likely to cause severe disruption to flights to and from these destinations.

The cabin and ground crew from the four countries have agreed to stage a walkout on 25 and 26 July, saying Ryanair has failed to address a list of demands presented to the company last week.

This move comes in addition to 100 Ryanair pilots based in Ireland announcing plans to strike on 12 July.

A decades-old policy of not recognising unions ended in December, as the airline wrestled with a pilot shortage that caused two waves of flight cancellations.

The union’s demands rang from improvements to economic conditions to safety and rostering and workplace culture.
