Two days in a row, Damon Albarn will present the new piece ‘The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows’ in the Henry Le Bœuf Hall with an ensemble and accompanying visuals. The concert on 18 May was quickly sold out, so an extra concert is added on Sunday 17 May 2019. Ticket sales will start on the 9th of October from 11 a.m.
Damon Albarn spends as much time as possible in Iceland, his spiritual home where he gains respite and inspiration from the landscape and its surroundings. With this fascination in mind he will perform this new piece with an ensemble and specially commissioned visuals. What can be more fascinating than the signs of the passage of time and the fragility of nature.
Damon Albarn is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer, and founder member of Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad and The Queen.
