Relive the procession organised in 1549 for Charles V and his son, the future Philip II!
1400 paraders will help you to relive a historic moment on the streets of Brussels: musicians, singers, dancers, horsemen, uniformed guards and flag-carriers will all contribute to recreating the Renaissance atmosphere of the region. Charles V’s carriage will set off from his former palace in Brussels at the Place Royal at 8:15 p.m. The historical groups will start from the Parc Royal around 8:40 p.m. to join the members of the guilds of crossbowmen, archers, harquebusiers and fencers at Sablon. The full historical procession, led by the carriage, will set out from Sablon at 8:50 p.m. and parade through the streets of Brussels to the Grand Place where the show will have been on since 8.45 p.m.
