It’s time to get ready for the marathon… the electronic marathon to be precise! BEM18 will take place in just 4 weeks, from October 12 to 14, in more than 40 incredible places in Brussels to showcase talents of the Belgian electronic scene.
For this third edition, the Brussels Electronic Marathon is coming up with something new and exciting: the creation of 4 different tracks of events! The Canal, Central, Royal Street and Flagey axes allow the festivalgoers to choose a specific route or neighborhood.
The Canal axis’ events start from Friday with LaVallée is hosting a Gay Haze party and Kanal welcomes Voyages Sonores, a project which brought mesmerizing lights and sounds to Vaux-Hall every Friday of this summer. An ambient afternoon also takes place at LaVallée on Sunday thanks to Initiate Reflexions.
In the city center on Friday evening, Café Central organises a Court-Circuit x FTRSND contest and Kiosk Radio exceptionally relocates to Bonnefooi. Due to last year amazing success, Zodiak re-invites Global Hybrid for another unforgettable party! On Saturday, Divagation and La Vague Parallèle are taking control of Café des Halles, a much bigger place than last year at Niko Matcha. BEM18 ends on the Central axis on Sunday evening with the usual Jam Electronique (Meet & Jam) at Bonnefooi and for the most courageous, Deep in House, Norite and Initiate organize the last party of the weekend at C12.
The Royal Street surroundings are not forgotten either since Bozar is hosting a “Bozar Electronic Series” on Friday evening. On Saturday, the route takes BEM-mers from Botanique, with concerts of aMute, Aponogeton and the remarkable United, to Fuse with many Belgian collectives along the way.
In Ixelles, Flagey is definitely showing BEM18 vibes. On Saturday and Sunday evening, Philip Catherine and STUFF. pay tribute to Marc Moulin during two amazing concerts and the bar next door, Bar du Marché, invites Beatronic and Endless to keep the party going.
