We Art XL is a fusion between a multidisciplinary art festival and an artists’ journey, which will take place on 20, 21 & 22 September 2019 in Ixelles.

Resolutely open to everyone in all their diversity, the partners, places of activities and exhibitions of the festival will be as varied as the commune of Ixelles itself: workshops, bookstores, cafés, and shops will feature; but so will known and prestigious places such as theatres, galleries or museums. Exhibited in the form of a route, the festival will offer visibility to artists – from Ixelles or not – by inviting them to exhibit their work and share their creations with the public. Painting, sculpture, comic strips, writing, poetry, silkscreen printing, photography, choreography, dance, theatre, graffiti, music, circuses… all will be on display.

We Art XL is a multifaceted work. Open to all, it will allow audiences to meet and exchange ideas with artists. The artists selected by a acclaimed jury will be showcased in key places across the municipality and will be able to display their work. Expanding horizons, nurturing curiosity, stimulating the pleasure of discovery, making stories ricochet in the imagination, honouring diversity, are all goals that We Art XL wishes to achieve.
