Billy Bike’s shared electric bicycles now available in 10 new Brussels municipalities

Billy Bike’s shared electric bicycles are now available in 10 new municipalities in Brussels.

Already available in Ixelles, Etterbeek, Bruxelles-Ville and Saint-Gilles, the company’s bicycles can now be accessed in Auderghem, Koekelberg, Schaerbeek, Saint-Josse, Molenbeek, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Uccle, Forest and Watermael-Boitsfort.

“For the last few months we have been receiving increasing requests for our bicycles in many parts of the city. By extending the use of our bikes to other parts of Brussels, we are being true to the philosophy of our company, which is to co-create and develop the company with our users,” said the company’s cofounder, Pierre de Schaetzen. “In the long run, we would like to see a Billy Bike on every street corner of the 5,000 streets in Brussels.”

Billy Bike is also offering free trips of less than 20 minutes every Sunday this summer. Mr de Schaetzen explained that, by doing this, the company intends to “encourage as many users as possible to try using an electric bicycle”.
