Brussels Family Day: celebrate athletics with the family at the Memorial Van Damme
To end the summer holidays on a high, the AG Memorial Van Damme and visit.brussels invites 2,000 residents of the Brussels Capital Region to come to Brussels Family Day – free of charge.
Just like every year since 1977, the Memorial Van Damme is the main sporting event to welcome residents back to the capital after the summer break. This global athletics gathering has been part of the Diamond League programme since 2010 and will take place again this year on the 31st of August
In addition to the winners gaining free entry to the most prestigious athletics gathering in the world, the first 2000 people to register will have access to the main attractions and exhibitions at Heysel for a discounted price:
- Adam Brussels Design Museum
- Atomium
- Mini-Europe
- Océade
- The Smurf Experience
The programme for this extraordinary day includes children’s sports activities, bouncy castles, concerts and DJ sets. After a day of fun activities, the whole family can make their way to the King Baudouin Stadium to experience this magnificent sports festival.
The first 2,000 people to register on will also receive the following, free of charge:
- tickets to the AG Memorial Van Damme
- food and drink vouchers;
- discounted prices on the standard entry prices to the Adam Museum, the Atomium, Mini-Europe, Océade and the Smurf Experience.
The exact location of the Brussels Family Day will be announced in several days’ time. The location will be in one of the parks near the Atomium.
For a chance to be among the happy few, you must be resident in one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels Capital Region. Each participant can register a maximum of 3 guests to come along with them. Registration takes place on a first come, first served basis, so there’s no time to lose!
