Brussels government reaches agreement with 5G operators
On Thursday July 19th, the government of the Brussels Capital Region and mobile operators reached an agreement regarding the development and exploitation of the 5G spectrum in the Brussels Region. All of this with the ambition to make Brussels the first 5G city in the country, announced on Friday the cabinet office of Rudi Vervoort, Minister-President of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region.
The document containing the agreement is divided into three sections, each section addressing the following issues: health and the environment, the economy and employment, the smart city and future investments, respectively.
For users, this could mean speeds of up to 20 gigabits per second in ideal conditions.
