Disruption of traffic expected on Friday 28th due to trade unions protest
An expected protest of the trade unions in Brussels on Friday 28th September 2018 will lead to traffic problems in the city centre from about 10:30 am.
The gathering of the protest will be in the vicinity of the North Station from 10:30 am. The departure is scheduled around 11:30 am. The route of the protest:
- Boulevard Albert II
- Small ring road (Rogier – Madou – Arts/Loi – Belliard/Régent – Place du Trône – Porte de Namur)
- Rue de Namur
- Place and Rue Royale
- Coudenberg/Mont des Arts
Closure of tunnels
The tunnels of the small ring road will probably have to be closed. The E40 Reyers tunnel direction centre and the Cinquantenaire tunnel direction centre will be closed around 11 am.
Public transport
The STIB public transport company announces interruptions or diversions of about twenty lines (in particular: L 14, 27, 29, 33, 34, 38, 47, 54, 57, 58, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 71, 80, 86, 88, 92, 93, 95).
The metro and trains should ride normally.
