Manneken Pis dressed as Louis Braille to raise awareness about the blind and visually impaired

On Friday January 4th, Manneken Pis wore a blind schoolboy’s apron and dark glasses to raise awareness about the lives of blind people.

January 4th is World Braille Day, the writing system set up by Louis Braille to enable blind people to read.

Blind and partially blind people have since opened up to the world thanks to this system, which is also changing with the times, especially on computers and smartphones. Manneken Pis became Louis Braille with his guide dog to raise awareness about the blind and visually impaired.
