Number of violent robberies went down in the Brussels-South area

The number of violent thefts as well as burglaries went down by 34% and 18% respectively in July 2018 compared to last year’s month of July, reported the police of the Brussels-Midi area.

“We have not yet analyzed the reasons behind this decrease,” said the police.

However, the number of car thefts increased by 10% in July 2018 compared to July 2017 in this area, which covers the municipalities of Anderlecht, Forest and Saint-Gilles.
