Over 50 flights to repatriate Belgian travelers after Thomas Cook bankruptcy
After the bankruptcy of the tour agency Thomas Cook, more than 50 flights are planned to repatriate Belgian travelers. The announcement was made by the Travel Guarantee Fund on Friday. On Thursday, the Travel Guarantee Fund has also decided to cancel all holiday bookings that were still to take place.
The majority of the repatriations will be operated by Brussels Airlines, implementing flights that would have taken place anyway. Thomas Cook and Neckermann’s customers that are in Turkey, instead, will be flying with the local company Tailwind. Finally, those who have stayed in Enfidha will board a flight operated by the Tunisian company Nouvelair.
