Running against cancer

It is time to run against breast cancer! On Sunday 10 September, the 4th edition of the Race for the cure Brussels will be held in Bois de la Cambre. The “Race for the cure” is the biggest worldwide event related to breast cancer. The first race took place in 1983 in Dallas and it has been spread all over the World after some decades.

What is the event about? Those who are interested in supporting the fight against breast cancer can head to Bois de la Cambre. You then have two options: the 3-kilometer walk and the 6-kilometer run. You will be given a white shirt, and the women affected by breast cancer will be provided with a pink shirt.

Many stands as well as other activities will also be held in a “small village” all the day long, in order to give you an insight into this illness and to make this event an enjoyable day. In case you are not free on Sunday and you really aim at supporting the fight thousands of women are taking every year, you also can have a look at the same run that will take place in Antwerp on 24 September.
