STIB to extend its metro schedules during the Brussels Summer Festival

The Brussel Summer Festival will take place around the Place Royale district from the 14th until the 18th of August.

The 18th edition of the festival will welcome Hooverphonic, Booba, Blanche, Caballero & JeanJass, Fire! Chatterton, Hyphen Hyphen and many more. In order to allow the festival-goers to enjoy the concerts until the end, the Stib will extend the schedule of its four subway lines.

The last passages to the stations Trône, Central Station and Park are thus planned between 00h23 and 00h55 according to the lines and the directions of circulation. Festival-goers will also be able to count on the Noctis bus lines, which run from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday nights.

The three stages of the festival – Place Albertine, Place des Palais and La Madeleine – are easily accessible by public transport: by metro (lines 1 and 5, Gare Central and Parc stations, lines 2 and 6, station Trône) , by tram (lines 92 and 93, Royal and Palais stops) or Stib bus (lines 27, 34, 64, 80, 95, throne stop, lines 29, 63, 65, 66, Gare Central and Parc stops; and 71, Central Station, Royal or Throne stops, or line 86, Gare Central.

The bus lines 27, 38, 71, 86, 95 and N11 will be diverted during the five days of the Brussels Summer Festival, but also a few days before and after to allow for the dismantling of the scenes. The Royal, Bozar, Trone, and Porte de Namur stops will not be served at certain times of the day.
