Storm alert from Tuesday evening on
The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) has announced a storm alert code yellow, which could include strong winds all across Belgium.
The yellow alert’s goal is to trigger a warning mechanism for citizens who could otherwise be surprised by a thunderstorm.
Tuesday night, especially late in the evening, is when the RMI expects stormy showers with potential winds of up to 90 km/h.
In Flanders, the coast will be on alert as of 20:00, the same for West and East Flanders. The alert will be triggered at 22:00 in the provinces of Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant.
The alert enters at 20:00 in Hainaut, 21:00 in the provinces of Namur and Luxembourg, and from 22:00 in the provinces of Liège, Walloon Brabant, and Brussels.
The alert remains in effect until Wednesday 08:00.
