The magic of Central Asia dazzled the people of Brussels: Nowruz’s celebrations at Bozar

Music, dance, food, joy, all the magic of Central Asia came to Bozar Centre For Fine Arts on Sunday March 24th, 2019, and delighted the people of Brussels during the celebration of Nowruz.

A symbol of rebirth and renewal, Nowruz has been added to the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. It celebrates the arrival of spring, and is cause for much celebration every year.

The program included:

Traditional music from Kyrgyzstan (Solist Roza Amanova, People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic)

Traditional dance from Azerbaijan (Nart Dance)

Folk music from Iran (Lian Music Band led by Mohsen Sharifian)
