UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn in Brussels to remember the life of activist MP Jo Cox

UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was in Brussels to inaugurate, along with Brussels City Mayor, Philippe Close, the Jo Cox Square. Cox was murdered by a far-right terrorist before the 2016 EU Referendum.

Helen Joanne Cox, known as Jo Cox, born in Batley on June 22, 1974, was a British politician and member of the Labor Party, feminist and committed to many humanitarian and charitable causes throughout her life. She was murdered on June 16, 2016. It is in her honor and in the wish to feminize the places and street names on its territory, that the City of Brussels has given its name to the place at the back of the Old Belgium, a place often frequented by Jo during his stay in Brussels.
