Brussels Little Asia Part X – Chirashi bowls for lunch
Hinodeya is not located in a very visible spot. When you walk from the European Parliament towards Place de Londre, it’s easy to overlook it, but it’s just there, next to another of my go-to lunch places: El Turco.
Hinodeya is a sushi place that’s usually packed for lunch, so it’s worthy to make a reservation. It’s not too big, not too small, decorated in a simple way (or almost not at all) and you’re sitting very close to your neighbours, so don’t be surprised! But the sushi and especially the chirashi bowls; a bowl filled with sticky rice and fresh, thin, raw pieces of fish, served with a bit of ginger and wasabi. If you pour some soy sauce on top it’s even nicer.

There’s actually not much more to say about this place. People are nice, food is good and it’s close to my and probably your work, too. Plus, it’s always a motivation to get work going if you’re thinking about that nice lunch you’ll have.
Good to know:
Rue du Trône 71, 1050 Ixelles
Price: 13€ for a chirashi bowl, around 13-15€ for different lunch dishes
