A picture of Brussels

Almost everybody has once been involved or has once aimed to be involved in photography. The city of Brussels is actually full of spots to make great pictures and for that it’s definitely worth having an insight into street photography.

Lucky you, the Brussels Street Photography Festival (BSPF) will soon start. From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 October, you can learn how street photography works and be in touch with professional artists.

The main goal of this cultural manifestation is to promote street photography as an urban research tool, a form of cultural communication and a visual art. Photography can provide different perspectives on Brussels, and that’s why Cakri, an organisation that aims at enriching the urban landscape with cultural projects, decided to set up such a festival in the Belgian capital.

The main event during this 3-day festival will take place on October 6th at Galerie Ravenstein: the festival will present the works of selected finalists from contests on Brussels and International photography. In the following days, both on Saturday and Sunday, different events will be held, such as photo walks, discussion panels, photo feedbacks, talks and Q&A. You will have the opportunity to exchange views on different techniques, styles and influences, while also attending debates on photography. Find out one more way to improve your photography skills!
