A Belgian wins more than 150 million euros at the Euromillion (again)!
A Schaerbeek binman has won about 160 million euros last October and in the upcoming weeks another Belgian will soon have more than 150 million euros on his/her bank account.
Where is the one that won EUR 153.873.716? Last Sunday, no one notified the Belgian authorities that he/she got the correct numbers (8-10-24-33-42 and 3-9) at the Euromillions. It is the eight highest sum in the history of the lottery.
Should you have played the EuroMillions last week no worries, you still have 20 weeks left to call the institutions in charge of granting the amount of money. And a hotline is active 24 hours a day over the whole weekend in order to advise the person who won.
Although this is a massive sum, advisers will indeed support the winner as traps should be avoided. For instance, It is highly recommended not to resign as soon as you receive the money.
The future millionnaire is however not the first Belgian citizen to win a huge sum thanks to EuroMillions. A former Schaerbeek binman indeed won EUR 168.0853.23 last October. He apparently continued with his former life, as he keeps on playing football at the FC Kosova, in Schaerbeek, even if he resigned from his job as binman. He had left Schaerbeek a couple of months to travel to Australia and Germany, and also purchased a new home 30 km away from Schaerbeek. He however remained humble and keeps on meeting up with his friends here.
But now, it is maybe time to check your EuroMillion ticket, isn’t it? If you have not won, the next sum will reach 17 million euros. It is not that bad anyway.
