On Tuesday 2nd of October, Belgium had proposed first help and support to Indonesia via B-FAST.
After assessment of the available capacities, Belgium had proposed to send either two water purification units, accompanied by 23 experts, or essential equipment.
Local technical requirements described by Indonesia, as well as related organisational requirements, do not allow however to be able to carry out the proposed mission properly.
In these conditions, B-FAST can’t unfortunately be deployed usefully in the zone.
