Climate demonstration and strikes in Brussels on Friday March 15

Following the international call launched by the young Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg, strikes and marches are being held in more than 80 countries around the world on Friday, March 15th.

In Belgium, Citizens for Climate, Students for Climate, Workers for Climate, Teachers for Climate and Rise for Climate have planned actions in more than 21 cities across the country. The General Federation of Belgian Labour (FGTB) and Belgian university scientific bodies have also announced their presence at the marches.

 

 

The Brussels march will begin on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm from the Gare du Nord, and will proceed toward the town centre.

In the morning, several communal spaces in Brussels will be used to hold citizen assemblies and screenings of the film Demain (Tomorrow).
