Clocks are turned backward 1 hour this weekend

Don’t forget to change your clocks this weekend as Belgium will switch to winter time during the night of Saturday to Sunday.

Daylight saving time 2019 in Belgium began at 02:00 on Sunday, 31 March and it will end at 03:00 on Sunday, 27 October. So what does this mean?

When local daylight time is about to reach
Sunday, 27 October 2019, 03:00:00 clocks are turned backward 1 hour to
Sunday, 27 October 2019, 02:00:00 local standard time instead.

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on 27 Oct 2019 than the day before.

On March 26, 2019, the European Parliament voted in favor of removing Daylight Saving Time (DST) permanently. If the law comes into effect, 2021 may be the last time EU Member States and affiliated countries follow the seasonal clock change.
