Exhibition: Light the Heart of Europe

Light the Heart of Europe, from 22 to 28 February 2018 at the Grand-Place of Brussels.

2018 is the year of tourism between the European Union and China. For this occasion, the European Commission and the Chinese Mission, in collaboration with the City of Brussels, are organizing a Chinese lantern festival.

The exhibition Light the Heart of Europe with gigantic Chinese lanterns will be held at the Grand-Place from 22 to 28 February. The expo will show beautifully hand-crafted, giant colourful lanterns, one of China’s World Intangible Cultural Heritages. The models of the lanterns are inspired by both Chinese and Belgian culture and life, including the Atomium. On 22 February the festival will open with a big show.

Red lanterns will also appear at the Royal Saint-Hubert Galleries from 16 February (Chinese New Year) to 15 March.
