Manneken-Pis celebrates national holiday of Ethiopia
On 28 May 2018, from 9 am till 4 pm, Manneken-Pis will wear his costume of Ethiopia.
Manneken-Pis, the symbol of Brussels folklore, gets a costume at major events. On 28 May he celebrates the national holiday of Ethiopia. This day commemorates the end of Derg regime in 1991, a military junta which ruled Ethiopia from 1974 to 1987. The holiday is officially called as Derg Downfall Day.
