A national protest of the trade unions is expected in Brussels on Wednesday 16 May 2018. This will lead to traffic problems in the city centre from about 10 am to 3 pm.
Today, the trade unions (FGTB, CSC, CGSLB) organizes a massive demonstration in Brussels against the plans of the Federal Government with regard to pensions.
The demonstration will start from the Gare du Nord in Brussels at 11:00 am, heading to the South Station. The protestors will follow the classic route through boulevards Albert II, Botanique, Pachéco, the Empress, the Emperor, rue Alexiens and finally the Boulevard Lemonnier towards the station.
STIB heavily disrupted
“It is still difficult to estimate precisely the extent of the disruptions, the STIB advises its travelers to search for alternatives,” says the STIB.
