Thousands of parking spots to be removed in Brussels

The Brussels Region now offers around 265,000 places of parking compared to 293,000 in 2005.

They are planning to further reduce this number by 65,000 spots by 2030. The plan is to replace them with 20,000 parking spots for residents, but these spots will be located away from main roads.

What is more, the pricing policy will probably change as to encourage out-of-main-road parking.

Parking remains one of the biggest issues for the mobility sector in Brussels.
