Audrey Hepburn statue in Ixelles

A statue of Audrey Hepburn will be installed in Ixelles, where the international movie star actress was born.

According to La Capitale  the statue will be transferred from Tolochenza, Switzerland, where Hepburn died in 1993. “We made contact with Audrey Hepburn’s son, Sean Ferrer, and with the town of Tolochenaz. Both of them accepted to give the statue to us. We’re extraordinarily fortunate.” explained Nathalie Gilson from the Commune of Ixelles.  The statue will be installed between Rue Keyenveld and Rue de l’Arbre Bénit, next to the former Solvay factory. The date is still to be confirmed but according to the Commune of Ixelles it will be unveiled by the end of the year.
