Ex-Trump adviser, Steve Bannon, in Brussels to lead populist movement

Donald Trump’s former adviser, Steve Bannon, would like to create a foundation in Europe to lead a right-wing populist movement in Europe. According to the Belgian newspaper De Standaard, Bannon has been relying on his connection to the president of the Belgian People’s Party, Mischaël Modrikamen.

It is believed that the two know each other thanks to Nigel Farage, emblematic figure of the Brexit movement.

Last week several meetings were organized between Bannon and European far-right leaders.

The organization, called “The Movement”, will have its headquarters in Brussels.
