Neder-Over-Heembeek looking for citizen representatives for tram project

A tram will soon connect Neder-Over-Heembeek to the city centre. To make the tram a success for all users, the City of Brussels wants to set up a citizens’ panel to guide the study of the project, bringing together the Brussels Capital Region, the municipalities and citizens. Applications are welcome till 17 April 2019.

Four effective members and four substitute members are sought to represent the citizens.

What does a citizen representative do?

Your mission is to be the voice of local residents, associations and traders in your area. Three civilian meetings (to be announced soon) will be held with residents of Neder-Over-Heembeek to share their views and questions about the project. As a spokesperson for citizens, you also participate in the meetings of the advisory committee.

Selection of candidates

– The selection of candidates takes into account gender equality and a mix of ages and profiles
– With the same profile, the candidates are chosen by a draw
– If there are more than 8 candidates, a draw will also be organized
– The selected candidates will be notified personally from 24 April 2019
