Resto National

What is the first traditional dish that comes to mind when you think about Belgium? Mussels and fries are indeed two first great options! If you want to attend a massive mussels-fries meal this weekend, come at Place du Jeu de Balle on the 21st of July, while the celebrations for the Belgian National Day will be held in the city centre.

From 4.00 to 10.00 pm, dozens of tables will be set up in this square to welcome the hungry Brusselians. The mussels and the fries will be served, and you can enjoy some performances at the same time. Musicians, dancers and fairs will indeed be there to make your Belgian dish as good as possible.

Plus d’informations

After the meal, the night won’t be over, as a musical ball with popular Belgian songs will be held. If you are not in the mood to attend the formal celebrations of the Belgian National Day, it may be a nice opportunity to have a good time and meet with other Brusselians or “alternative” tourists.

Keep in mind that a lot of people will attend the event, so there might not be enough mussels and fries for everybody. To avoid ending up empty-handed, you can book your portion online. The price for this meal is 21€ per person.
