The new tram line 9 transports roughly 300,000 passengers per month
Tram line 9 offers transport services to about 300,000 users a month, reported the STIB.
“We have never seen a line fill up so quickly,” explained STIB’s director, Brieuc de Meeûs to Belgian news outlet, L’Echo.
He added that these first results are “particularly positive.”

Since September, line 9 links Simonis to Koekelberg and Arbre Ballon to Jette, via Place du Miroir and UZ. “At rush hour in the morning, nearly 3,600 people take the tram 9 towards Simonis,” reported the spokesman of the STIB, An Van Hamme.
During rush hours, a tram is available every six minutes.
