Three citizens file a complaint against the police for unnecessary violence

Citizens have filed a complaint against the police due to the incidents that took place on August 30th during a festive event in Ixelles. The event was taking place near Flagey, Rue Malibran.

Three citizens in Ixelles filed the complaint against officers of the Brussels Capital and Ixelles region. According to the citizens, the police had used unnecessary violence against several young people during that day. One of the victims was hit from behind and even once more while she was on the ground. Then she was stripped naked and taken by a police-van.

The spokeswoman of the prosecutor, Stephanie Lagasse, stated that an investigation is underway.
