The Festival of Music takes up residence in Brussels from June 20
Where will you go to celebrate music this year!
The Fête de la Musique brings many novelties every year. From June 20th new artists are brought to the spotlight but also new organizers and new places to discover. 2019 is no exception to the rule and alongside municipalities that have established themselves in the Festival over the years (we think of Molenbeek and its festival of all music from around the world), “p’tits new ” open their doors everywhere in the Brussels-Capital Region. Do not hesitate, for example, to discover La Vallée and its menu at the edge of the underground, between electro, abstract and experimental music (also in Molenbeek). Or rush to Etterbeek Place Jourdan “new generation” will host slam, world concerts, activities for kids and other DJs.
Uccle also participates very actively this year, a hearty program awaits you, both in its historic center and in more remote locations, especially around the Montagne-Saint-Job. An appointment soon become essential, friendly and eclectic.
The town of Forest resonate in every nook and cranny. At BRASS, you will have the opportunity to discover Kel Assouf’s well-electric Tuareg blues. At Le Hic cafe, it’s the Belgo-Tunisian Jawhar folk waiting for you. Unless you prefer jazz from Brasserie des Allies?
Difficult to go around all the places that bent over backwards for you. What is certain is that from Woluwe-Saint-Lambert to Anderlecht via the Marolles : it will be hard to choose!

THE FESTIVAL AT CINQUANTENAIRE PARK
Two days of melodic pleasure in the greenery of Cinquantenaire on June 22 and 23. With artists from here and elsewhere.
It has become a good habit. For the sixth consecutive year, the Festival of Music takes up residence in Brussels in the Cinquantenaire Park.
Two days, two outdoor scenes, an international poster, cocktail bars, street arts, concerts and entertainment for kids, exotic food stalls, more intimate services under the flying machines exhibited at the Museum of the Army …
For the musical part, in addition to reggae legend Lee “Scratch” Perry and the return of indie rock cult band Dead Man Ray , this is the most explosive female duo of the moment that the Fête de la Musique invites. We are talking about Juicy. After making themselves known with their covers of R & B / hip-hop nineties tubes, Julie and Sasha assert in front of their modernity on two EP’s released twelve months apart. Performed musicians and stage beasts, they offer a show hyper “peps” synonymous with hedonism and openness.
There was De Niro, Pacino and Adriano Celantano. We must now add Romano Nervoso, who plays on Saturday afternoon.
Between Atom’s Goldorak pop , Chance’s craft song (in the Aviation Hall), the soundtrack, between Touareg blues and rock, served by Kel Assouf , the festive hip-hop of the 77 and L ‘Or du Commun , do not under any circumstances miss the performance of Steam Down. Born in South London, this neo-jazz band has just won two trophies, and not the least, at the Jazz Fm Awards: best live experience and best discovery!
